Cheaper Hang Drum Alternatives for Sale

While not easy to come by ‘Hang’ drums by ‘PanArt’, one of the most sought after instruments of recent years can (usually) be found for sale online, but not for less than around six thousand dollars.  And while this high price tag does represent the quality of the hang drum, both in build and sound, it also reflects the rarity of the instrument, and the demand for those that are put up for sale.

So for many (at least currently) the chances of owning a genuine hang drum are slim, but there are alternatives.

  • Bongo drums
All of which are beautiful percussion instruments each with their own unique sound and playing style.  And most importantly for those on a limited budget, all far cheaper than the cost of purchasing a second hand PanART hang drum online.

And especially with the likes of the ‘Steel tongue drum’, which is very similar to the hang in build and sound, they make an excellent alternative to the hang, and an excellent instrument upon which to practise, until you can find the method and means to get your hands on a genuine PanArt hang drum.
