Did you know that you can create DVD wedding reception invitations with Windows Movie Maker? Not a lot of people know that you can create invitations in this manner. However, this is a very creative and unique method of creating one of a kind, memorable invitations that all of your wedding reception guests will love and cherish for years to come.

If you have Windows XP, or higher, it is very likely that you will have Windows Movie Maker built right in. If you click on start, and all programs, you will want to search for this program in your list of those that are available on your computer. Once you find it, you will just want to double click on it to open it up.

Once the program is open, you will see an option to the left that says “import”. This is the area that you will use in order to import the pictures that you have that will be added to the DVD wedding reception invitations that you are creating. This media has to be saved somewhere in your computer, or on a digital camera.

You should add pictures of you and your significant other. This can include pictures taken doing special activities together, birthday pictures, or any other type of pictures that you have that actually documents the relationship that you have. Once you have the pictures added, you will want to pull them down in the area called “Storyboard”. Make sure that you pull them down and assort them in the way that is best for you.

Once you have done this, you are ready to add your invitation area. You will want to go to the left where it says “edit”, and click on the option that says “Titles and credits”. Now, it is likely that you will need to break up the wording over several titles. You may want to do this at the beginning or the end – the choice is yours.

Once everything is in place, and done, it is time to select some music to play in the background as the pictures show on your DVD. This enhances the video and helps to add to the effect of the movie overall. Once you are done, you will want to save your project under a file name associated with the theme.

Once this is done, it is time to burn the file to a recordable DVD disk. Now, stick the DVD wedding reception invitations in a slip case and mail them to everyone you want to show up at your wedding!
