How to draw a skull, drawing skulls is very easy and there are a few quick methods that work quite well for drawing skulls, it is best to study a realistic skull at first, but when you’ve done that all it takes is a simple step by step approach to get your skulls down on paper.

But really a skull should be as realistic as you want it to look, your art style should be the key to making your skull drawing cool looking, because it all depends on what you want your skull design to be for, if it’s a medical illustration then it will have to look realistic, but if it’s for some tattoo design or other skull emblem, then it just has to have the basic look of a skull to be effective.

The skull drawing below I drew with a black bic biro, almost in a sketchy way and I suppose it represents a good solid skull design that isn’t realistic but looks stylized and cool.
