For Sale 911 Porsche: 930 Sale: Starting with model year 1975 was the model range of Porsche 911 extended by another member. The Porsche 930, known as the Porsche 911 Turbo was produced from 1974 through to 1989, and was thus the new top model from Porsche.

930 Engine and Development:

As usual, the engine was based on the air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine of the other 911 models.
However, the capacity was increased from 2.7 to 3.0 liters and is additionally provided with a turbocharger. In this version, the unit provided 191 kW (260 hp) at 5,500 rpm.

The 930 is related to the race car from Porsche Turbo from this period, the Porsche 934 and Porsche 935 and the Porsche 936.

Visually, the Turbo can be recognized by its much wider to the outside fenders and the large rear wing.
In 1978, the performance of the turbo was rose to 221 kW (300 HP). This was achieved primarily through a further increase in displacement to 3.3 liters and now in particular the installation of a charge air cooler.

This was the 911 Turbo, the most powerful model in Porsche and was able to continue from the new, not quite as powerful Porsche 928 take off.
