How to save Rainforests using old Cell Phones

A lot of people think that their old cell phone has no more use and therefore, should be destroyed or placed in the garbage. However, 2015 National Geographic Emerging Explorer Topher White thinks differently.

He believes that old cell phone can be used to help save the rain forest by using them to pick up sounds of illegal logging activity and send real-time alerts to rangers and therefore saving many trees. This is really brilliant. Watch the clip below for the whole story.
