The living room, bed room, patios etc are some of the areas you can make use of for installing interior water fountain. It will look like a fantastic ornament for your home. Water fountains are different kinds. Fountain for floors, tables, walls, gardens and water falls are a few among them. Before installing a water fountain you have to consider certain factors such as the total area of decoration, cooling and water requirements and other decorative things used to decorate the room previously.

The components of a fountain are a pool of water, an electrically running water pump, hose tube to take water from the water tank upwards, and a nice setting or surge, through which water can cascade. The immersed water pump will consume a power of nearly 120 volts. The pump should be kept always under water; or else it gets damaged very soon.

There are always a few problems you will encounter after installing water fountains. The most common problems include clamor of the pump and contamination of water. You can reduce the sound of the pump by placing it on materials such as rubber or cork that will absorb shock. You can tackle the second problem by sprinkling chlorine bleach in the water reservoir. This will prevent algae growth to an extent. Remember if you are keeping any living creatures such as turtles or fish, sprinkling of bleach can harm them.

Most of the water fountains can control the flow of water from the top. This quality can change the exquisiteness of your fountain. There are many styles such as water fall type, water curtain or rain like water drops. You can decide a style and then choose the style which suits your decor. For the background you can have many options. Ceramic is most water resistant but you can design your own background, to give your fountain a personal touch.
