Jamie Foxx is Moving on Over to Thousand Oaks
It seems there is still a bit of secrecy left in the world of the stars. Jamie Foxx, a long time resident of Tarzana, California, has listed his long time home on the market for more than $2.3 million. The home was originally purchased in 1997 when Foxx paid only $939,000 for the property.
The home was listed for sale on April 18th of this year and until now that listing has gone unreported.
The home was built in 1949 and sits on a little over half an acre of land. With more than 5,000 square feet of living space, the home would be big enough for the famous Dugger family with all 18 children. But, it seems that Foxx has outgrown the home and is moving on over to Thousand Oaks, California for a bit more space. (Actually, a lot more space!)
The home is located at 5370 Vanalden Ave in Tarzana. There are 3 bedrooms and 3.25 bathrooms in the residence. The home is heavily upgraded, as you would expect, with Wolf appliances throughout, a sports court, media theater, game room, pool house and a gym.
The new home, located at 1355 W. Potrero in Thousand Oaks, is situated on more than 40 acres and was purchased by Foxx 2 years ago.
The move comes among troubled times in the celebrity real estate market. With more and more listings popping up all the time in some of the most sought after celebrity communities, there is no doubt that the real estate crunch is hitting these top buyers in the heart. While many of the celebrities are releasing their homes for less than value, it seems that Foxx is looking to pocket some of the inflation that has occurred since he bought the Tarzana home. If Foxx sells the home at the asking price, he will show a profit of more than $1 million.
