Gone are the days when everyone believed that to use laptop for gaming was not practical or feasible. Advancement in the field of mobile graphics technology has made laptops a good option for playing games for the game lovers.

There are few considerations before you make a purchase for a laptop that is suitable for games. First and most important thing is to go for the laptop that has a discrete adapter. Next thing is to find the laptop which has a bigger screen size. It is more important to see it in terms of resolution of the screen. If you are a really serious game lover and want the unmatchable display, its good idea to go for the resolutions close to 1600×1200 pixels. Such resolutions give exceptional image quality and the graphics look sharp. You will need the laptop screen of 17 inches for such display to be effective.

You must watch out of for the laptops that offer the widescreen display. This simply means that they just stretch the game image so that it can fit the display. This is not suitable for playing high resolution games as this can blur the image.

You also need to make sure to go for the laptop with sufficient memory so that the game does not slow down or starts crawling. You can have some base memory and then use additional system RAM if required. The configuration you must look for included 2 GB system RAM minimum. You can also upgrade it to 3 GB if it offers you better performance. Modern and latest games are quite memory intensive as they all need to handle complex codes. So there is nothing like too much memory. You can buy as much as your budget allows.

Choose the laptop that has a fast processor so that there are no bottlenecks. Laptops that have large hard drive of approximately 100 GB or more is a good choice as you will need to store many games.
