Madonna’s “Hard Candy”

The Material Girl really knows how to reinvent herself and turns her latest gamble “Hard Candy” on top of the Billboard 200 chart, the pop music’s Queen’s seventh and No. 1 album.

“Hard Candy” brings out Madonna’s knock for turning hip-hop’s bloated sound into dance- floor gems. The album’s catchy first tracks are among it’s best cuts: “Candy Shop” is dazzling infections as Madonna playfully intones, it is “raw, sticky, and sweet.”


Her rendition of “Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You,” shows Madonna’s growth and depth as a performer, and the provocative “Voices,” which starts with “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

In “Miles Away”, Madonna warns: “When I’m gone you’ll realize that I’m the best thing that happened to you.” In “She’s Not Me,” She boldly intones: “She’s not me, She doesn’t have my name. She’ll never have what I have…”

The urban -dance thunderous sound and Madonna’s irrepressible confident grasp of the language of dance music makes “Hard Candy” worthy of her listeners’ attention.
