Surely you’ve seen the Segway scooter. It’s the electric scooter that has two large tires and a long arm which comes up in front of the driver for steering and controls. They are becoming very popular as a personal vehicle for short trips where taking the car would be inconvenient and walking would be strenuous. The Segway, since it’s electric can even be used indoors. Some business people who do a lot of walking during the day have found them to be quite useful for this reason. Segways would be good for college students as well, saving them from having to walk all over campus and help them get around quicker and safer than walking at night would.

The Segway is being used by members of law enforcement as an alternative to bicycles. The Segway can easily be driven onto sidewalks or used in crowd control situations because of their size and ease of handling.

It is advertised as being self-balancing and extremely easy to use. Although the Segway base model can run to just over $5,000.00, you can choose to either buy one outright, lease it, or even rent it for a short time.
