"Christians aren't perfect - just forgiven." We've all seen and acknowledged the truth of that statement. But even forgiven Christians have problems, sometimes severe problems, like alcohol, drug, or sex addiction, family violence, homosexual tendencies, and more. For some, conventional recovery helps like Alcoholics Anonymous, are too intimidating or not available. For many, being a Christian means you're not supposed to have these problems. Christians In Recovery (CIR) was formed because of the need to reach out to fellow believers in love and provide the help they need. CIR is not a crisis center, hotline, or professional therapy group, a substitute for attending church or for professional help or assistance, or intended to replace or undermine any other Christian organization or group. They do provide information, referral and resources for anyone who is in recovery or who desires to recover from abuse, family dysfunction, depression, anxiety, grief, stress, etc. and/or obsessive/compulsive behaviors, addictions of alcohol, drugs, food, sex, gambling, pornography, etc. CIR is the only full-featured Christian recovery community on the Internet. CIR handles requests for recovery help by email, message boards, Internet support groups, daily on-line chats, referral, books, materials, Bible studies, and more. Read through the site for membership information, resources available, testimonies, and much, much more. Multi-option drop-down menus, search, and a site map make it easy to navigate.
