Hawthorne Bicentennial Exhibition
Week of 05/23/2005
http://www.pem.org/library/hawthorne/#
The Hawthorne Bicentennial Exhibition was designed by the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts to commemorate the bicentennial of Nathaniel Hawthorn’s birth. The site features seven editions of “The Spectator,” a handwritten newspaper that Hawthorne produced when he was 16. Each of the manuscripts can be enlarged for closer viewing and an interactive table of contents is also included.
Rating: An excellent resource for American Lit students and others who study Hawthorne.
