Thanksgiving Centerpiece Ideas That Are Fun and Easy To Make
It’s that time of year again. The air is crisp, the leaves are turning beautiful colors, and the smell of cider is in the air. If you’re looking for fun and easy thanksgiving centerpiece ideas, look no further. These four centerpieces can be prepared with the kids’ help after the turkey goes in the oven. A quick trip to the craft store and the supermarket will provide you with all the supplies you need.
1. Thanksgiving cornucopia: these traditional thanksgiving centerpiece ideas are always appreciated. All you’ll need is an inexpensive wicker cornucopia from the craft store and some seasonal fruits and vegetables from the supermarket. Stuff the cornucopia with colorful dried corncobs, fall leaves, apples, and miniature golden squashes. If you prefer, you can stuff the cornucopia with orange, red, and yellow flowers. Make sure to let the produce or flowers spill out a little bit.
2. Pilgrim hat: this fun centerpiece will require a bit more ingenuity. You’ll need a felt or cardboard pilgrim hat. If you’re crafty, you can make one yourself out of paper or fabric. If not, you might be able to find one at the craft store. In either case, turn the pilgrim hat upside-down in the middle of the table, and fill it with fall produce, leaves, and/or flowers.
3. Thanksgiving candle wreath: this is a beautiful centerpiece with a touch of class. You may use a pre-made wreath at the craft store or left over from Christmas. Or, get a wreath form at the craft store and use beautiful fall leaves to construct the wreath. Either way, add an orange or red candle in the center, and twist some Indian corn into the wreath.
4. Pumpkin centerpiece: if your kids are sad that Halloween has passed, let them carve up another pumpkin for this beautiful centerpiece! This centerpiece looks best if the pumpkin is merely hollowed out, but it might also be fun to carve a face. After it is hollowed out, fill it with fall-colored flowers and Indian corn.
Whether you are looking for a classy centerpiece for a grown-up Thanksgiving celebration, or a fun craft project to make for the kids’ table, these Thanksgiving centerpiece ideas are guaranteed to provide beautiful decoration for your table. You may choose to create one large centerpiece for the whole table, or if you have extra time, make one for every place setting!
