Known the world over as Police Harleys, the elegant yet powerful, Harley Davidson Police Motorcycle is a sight worth watching and has been in fashion for over a hundred years now. At present the Harley Police Bikes are used in forty five countries the world over. In the United States alone; over 3,400 police agencies have signed a contract with the motor giant.

With the anniversary around the corner, Harley Davidson, in a bid to show its appreciation towards the police department, is adding a decal to the front fender of their new fleet of police motorcycles. In addition to this, they have also added a metal tank medallion along with an H-D police badge medallion. These have been done to commemorate the 100′th anniversary celebration of the Harley Company and have been festooned on the Peace Officer’s Special Edition.

For the year 208, Harley Davidson has decided to come out with two new models, namely, FLHTP Police Electra Glide and PLHTP Road King. At the same time, they plan to launch the eye-popping, 883 Sportster as well. The models are blessed with pursuit lights, oil coolers and an optional ABS. You also have the privilege of riding on air suspended solo seats and a powerful 103 cubic inch powertrain engine. At the same time, the police vehicles have the advantage of greater maneuverability with the inclusion of bead-retention tires.

If you talk of the Special Edition Police Bikes, then they are also included in the Ultra Glide, Electra Glide and Road King Series. If you have an eye for art, you may choose from either Fat Boy or the Heritage Classic.

Almost all Harley Davidson bikes are modeled in a similar fashion with the major differentiating factor being the color combinations and its external design.
