Many home owners elect to replace their old toilets for better, more water efficient toilets. For a few hundred dollars you can completely replace your toilet in your home in a weekend. This is not a complicated project and can save you a great deal on plumbing expenses. When replacing a toilet, you might notice that the toilet flange is damaged. Toilet flange repair is a simple process that is inexpensive; so don’t panic.

When you look at the toilet flange you should notice that it has been slightly cracked or damaged. At your local hardware store there should be toilet flange repair tabs available for a nominal price. These repair tabs make fixing the flange very simple. The repair tab will fit beneath the lip area of the flange and has a pre-made hole for the closet bolt. Slip the repair tab under the lip area. When the closet bolts are secured and tightened the repair tab will fix the toilet flange for you. It’s very simple and can be done rather quickly.
