Use Your Imagination for Tuscan Window Treatments
Tuscan windows are not difficult to maintain or make them look good. They give you the option to choose and work with a wide range of fabrics and colors. One of the simplest Tuscan window treatments is to keep them bare and decorate with various terracotta vases. It can look very appealing and you can choose various shapes and sizes of pots and vases.
If your kitchen is Tuscany style, there is a lot you can do, to create a whole new look for your kitchen and windows. You can choose roll shades of earth tones. Then glue the terra cotta pieces to the window sill. You can use your imagination to make it look as attractive as you want. The shades provide you the privacy and terra cotta gives the zing.
You can also go for coordinated window coverings. Otherwise you can take a heavy cloth in any pastel color and then drape this cloth over the metal rod. Choose the Tuscany style rod so that there is good coordination. If you want to give it old and rusty look, you can apply some dark stains on the rod. Use it randomly to give it natural look. You can also add the texture to the cloth.
The size of the cloth should fit the window well. You can add extra length to the cloth to be draped around the rod. To give it a different look, you can add wrinkles to the cloth with your hands. To give an aged look to the cloth, you can use chalk of the sand or dirt color. Crush these chalks and make a powder. Paint this powder on the curtains using a brush.
The cloth can be textured in many ways and designs. Also, you can use various colors of chalks to give it the old look. All you need is little imagination and some time.
