Welcome to the WorldVillage Citizens' Web Ring! This is the information and sign up page. You may:

What is this thing?
It is a group of personal home pages of Citizens of WorldVillage. The pages are linked together in a ring to make it easier to visit each site. You can always get a list of the sites in the ring or scan through them one at a time.

Give it a spin!
It's really easy to use. Simply look for the following on each home page. From this menu, you can go to the next page, the previous page, a random page, or even view a list of all the Citizens' sites in the ring.

Want to join? Course you do! To become a member of the WorldVillage Citizens' Web Ring you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a Citizen of WorldVillage. If you aren't click here to join.

  2. Have a home page on the WWW. Don't have one? No sweat. Visit the nice folks at GeoCities to find out how to get a free one!

  3. Your site must be family-safe. This means is must not contain pornography, violence, inappropriate language, or any other content not acceptable for family viewing. In other words, your page must be rated "G" or "PG".

  4. Your site must contain some content of value. In other words, pages with just a photograph don't cut it. Pages that are virtually empty except for an "under construction" sign don't cut it. You get the picture.

  5. Your site must be positive. We want to provide a happy and enjoyable surfing experience. Pages with dark overtones or writings will not be considered.

  6. Be willing to place the WorldVillage Citizens' Web Ring on the main page of your web site.
We reserve the right to reject any site deemed inappropriate for the web ring.

To become a member of the ring, simply follow these steps.


Download a copy of the web ring graphics. Here's how. Position your mouse over the graphic and right click, then choose to save the image. These images will be needed in your web pages directory. Save the images with the name indicated under each one.

Important! You must make a couple replacements in the HTML code to make it work on your site.

  3. Where it says, YOUR ID HERE, paste your web ring id#
