A Review of Office Humor

by Ron Enderland

Did you ever wonder who thought up those cute little memos that sometimes get passed around the office? I mean, somebody has to come up with this stuff, right?

Well, maybe not. It could be that some enterprising soul has gotten ahold of a copy of Office Humor.

This program consists of over 100 documents for any of three word processors: MS Word, WordPerfect, or Ami Pro. The index document that you call up is actually a macro linked list of all the other gag documents. You can access any single one by simply clicking on its listed name.

The humor runs the gamut from hilarious to "huh?" A word of warning here: sometimes the humor crosses deeply into the "PG-13" area.

Included are lists, memos, signs, and the potentially funniest gag: the envelope.

Imagine if your supervisor that is always on your back was to receive mailed to the office a letter from The Last Resort Dating Bureau! Imagine if the front of the envelope had three boxes to check regarding status of the enclosed application: (1) Accepted, (2) Rejected, and (3, checked, of course) "You've got to be kidding!" Just make sure he doesn't know where it really came from...

The humor is uneven, but funny a majority of the time. It is, all in all, an above average offering. And it can be stashed on a business only hard drive under "documents" or such!
