Guitar Hero is a rhythm based game where people try to keep up with the blazing guitar riffs of some of the best songs written by hitting the proper combination of buttons on a guitar shaped controller. The player earns points by hitting the correct notes with proper timing, and can even earn point multipliers by hitting long streaks of them without error.
The song list in the newest game is set to be one of the best featuring songs like “Sabotage” by the Beastie Boys, Hearts “Barracuda”, and even the classic rock anthem “Rock And Roll All Night” by Kiss not to mention dozens of others from both old rockers and new talent.
This game also introduces boss battles to the franchise. One boss that has already been named is none other than Slash the famous guitarist from the king of all rock bands Guns and Roses (some stores are even giving away posters of Slash when you preorder Guitar Hero 3).
Also new to the series this time around is the all wireless guitar controller which will be available for every console version. While playing this game with the guitar shaped controller has always been a blast, going wireless will allow you to let loose your inner rock god without fear of getting tangled in cords or yanking you console off of its perch.
There is a new multiplayer action battle mode this time around too. Now you can mess with your friends by causing their side of the screen to shake, making their notes fall faster, and other tricks making them loose their concentration and helping you dominate them even more than usual.
