Personal computers have been hawked in the media since the late 70’s. Most of us back then didn’t actually spring for the expensive toys that often required their own programming. But that didn’t stop big colorful ads from trying to convince us that the time was ripe to take the computer plunge and begin doing…
I was waxing poetic the other day about the old BBS days. In the early-to-mid 90’s, your online experience frequently consisted of dialing in to a bulletin board system, or BBS, with your modem. After the connection squeals subside, you were hooked to a remote computer running BBS software. You logged in with a user…
When I was in my teens, I LOVED comic books. I found a used book store in town that had a good stock of those glorious DC comics from the mid 1960’s with that checkerboard pattern across the top of the page. They cost (get ready for this) TEN CENTS APIECE! Of course, we’re talking…

For today’s Family Site of the Day, I thought a trip down memory lane would be in order. Not for the topic of the site, but a look back at a site that we have visited in the past. So with that in mind, we return to a site that we visited over 7 years…
I remember the first time I went to Disneyland, the magic and the fun and the rides. I have returned many times over the years, and the rides have changed, as technology has. That is true in many theme parks around the world. Today’s Family First site is one that helps you and your family…
I was listening to the radio today, and heard a sound that I hadn’t heard for years. It was the theme from the movie “Hair”, as sung by a 1960’s rock group. But what surprised me was that it wasn’t a recording, but that group singing it live in the studio of a nationally syndicated…
