October is not just for football and hockey – the end of the baseball season is upon us with the World Series. This year, the Texas Rangers face the St. Louis Cardinals. After one game, the Cards are ahead in the best of 7 series. So, how did we get to playing a “world” series…
Well, spring training is in full operation at presstime. The wealthy teams have spent lots of bucks, and the not-so-wealthy ones have ponied up quite a few themselves. The (I love saying this) World Champion St. Louis Cardinals are looking to repeat with more hitting power, but with a very young and/or surgically engineered pitching…
Today’s FamilyFirst site is a bit late. That’s on purpose. I didn’t want to jinx anything by writing it too early. But now, the morning after, it’s official. The St. Louis Cardinals are the 2006 World Series champions. I love a lot of teams. I love the Chiefs and Rams in football, OU is my…

There’s a new kid on the search engine block. It’s called HelpFox. HelpFox is a new concept in search engines. You type in a search term and get back all sorts of results, including Wikipedia definitions, dictionary definitions, blog entries, shopping links, maps, and who knows what else. It all depends on what you type…
Growing up, one of my father’s passions was his bowling league. Every Wednesday night, he and his logging buddies would drive 30 miles to the lanes, and have a great time. Occasionally, we would go on Sunday’s and bowl as a family. My son is a member of a local bowling league, and is helping…
