I have to admit that when I first got a computer, I was totally lost. I had worked in the electronics field for almost 15 years, but computers, well, they were (and are) a different breed of technology. That is why sites such as today’s Family First site such a wonderful find, and once having found them, become a bookmarked site in your web browser.
The site is called Ask Leo! It is an online site where Leo (who else) answers any and all computer related questions. All you have to do is submit them, and when he has the answer, he will post it on the site for your reference. It is also open for anyone to use and see as well. The variety of topics he provides help with is truly remarkable, and covers both hardware and software issues. Some of the more common ones relate to Windows XP Service Pack 2, Podcasting, the infamous “system resources” (and why am I so low), and comm ports. There is a section for previous “hot” questions, and answers to frequently asked questions. He has his own blog, and a healthy list of sites of interest round out the site. (Be sure to find and check out his resume as well, you will be impressed).
Like I said, finding sites that provide quality help are wonderful. Finding sites that provide that service and don’t charge, well, in my book, that’s a winning daily double. Thanks for the URL and amazingly, i’m suprised that he replied to me w/in two days. I’m impressed with his knowledge & if we thought we know it all about computing? Think again, Leo has widerange knowledge about everything else about computing.

I tried to use a bck-up files free download, but I’m a newbie and that’s a whole nuther language that left me totally stumped and feeling really stoopid.It’s really difficult to try to do much more than e-mail when all tech-talk is ‘way over my head. I hope you can help!

Does downloading Skype to acomputer slow it down, I recently upgraded to 50 mb but there does not seem to be a lot of difference in the speed or are these speeds a con?
