He is one of our country’s greatest treasures, and he wasn’t even born here. But you mention his name and everyone knows who you are talking about. He is someone we are always thanking for the memories, and today he is the subject of our daily FamSite.

The site is called Bob Hope and American Variety. This site is a look at the career of one of the funniest comedians ever. His career has transcended every form of entertainment, from vaudeville and the stage, to movies, radios, and television. He has written best selling books, and befriended every President since Herber Hoover. But he is best known for the contributions he made to the entertainment of our fighting troops. For over 50 years he gave his time and talents to the USO so that a piece of home would find its way to a far off corner of the world.
