Exploitation of children is becoming very commonplace in today’s society. There are so many young children working the streets, just driving through Hollywood can be an X-rated experience. Every week 1000 children pour into Hollywood with nowhere to go. Naive and desperate, they are easy prey for pimps and child pornographers. What happens to those children is the focus of today’s Famsite.
Called Children of the Night, it is the online embodiment of a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping young people escape from the ravages of street life. Over 30,000 children call each year to be rescued from pimps, pornographers, drug overdoses, and assaults, which occur on the streets. Since it was founded in 1979, over 10,000 boys and girls have been rescued, with 80% of them staying off the streets and not relying on any criminal activity to survive.

My name is Hazel Henderson I am from Atlanta Ga. My church is trying to start a Treatment Center for Teen Prostitution and I have to write a proposal that tells exactly what I am needing and wanting in this treatment center. This must be presented to my pastor. I have alot of experience and passion for our youth, having been a Juvenile Probation officer for 5yrs. and also serving on the Dekalb/Fulton Prostitution Task Force currently here in this area. Atlanta has a epidemic that is out of control. We have nowhere for these youth to get ongoing services such as counseling, education,etc.., This is what our church wants to be able to provide. I am need of some direction and information that possibly could get me going into the right direction. This facility would not be a live in facility but a center where they come in and receive the treatment they need. I have heard so many wonderful things about your organization please help Atlanta help our exploited youth.
