Eye on the World

One of the new technologies that have intrigued me when the Internet became popular is the use of live cameras to see all around the world. From your desktop, you can see 10 or 15 pictures simultaneously from all corners of the world. All live. And to think, it was barely 30 years ago that the satellite Echo 1 allowed us to send live radio signals from Europe.

Today’s Family Site is one that I found surfing the net that has a lot of interesting cameras. What sets Eye on the World apart from the others I have seen is the collection of links that they have. Where else can you go and see what is going on live at the Pacific Audio and Alarm in Fullerton California. And then with a simple click go to Houston Texas to check on the progress of the Astro’s new ballpark. And for the world wide traveler (or home sick student or tourist), there is the World Cam links, such as the Bogaz TV in Istanbul Turkey.

So hop on the Internet bus and cruise on over to the Eye on the World, and give your eyes a good work out.
