A holiday is good because it is a break from work and in the children’s case, a break from school and their assignments. There are many activities to choose from during a holiday. First, you can do a trek to your favorite camping site. When hiking or trekking, this teaches the kids the essentials of life including food, shelter and clothing. This teaches the kids that they will survive with only these things around. This is a way to divert their attention away from computers, gadgets and smartphones. It also teaches them the basic of survival.

If they are into social sciences or history, you can visit a museum. Museums will give the kids a glimpse of how people live in the past including how they hunt, the food that they eat and the weapons and tools that they use in order to survive. Museums have a lot of display that will surely give them interest about learning because they can learn so many things when visiting a museum.
