How to Make the Best Impression to Hiring Managers

Jobs are few and far between for many people these days and part of the cause could be because they aren’t presenting themselves in a way that hiring managers are hoping for.

Alexandra Levitt, a business and workplace author, speaker and consultant, spoke to Family First’s Marijo Tinlin about this disconnect they discovered in the 2013 Job Preparedness Survey. One of the statistics was that job seekers feel they fit the job descriptions 72% of the time and hiring managers believe applicants fit the job 15% of the time. That’s a huge gap in understanding.

Levitt tells us why that is and how a job seeker can overcome this when they are interviewing or putting their resumes together.
