Interviews 50 Cents

Today’s FamSite is one that is interesting not only in it’s concept, but also in it’s subject matter, and how it is presented. It goes a long way to show how Internet technology changes how information is presented.

The site is called Interviews 50 Cents. By using a card table and a handmade sign, tow reporters show a series of interviews that go to the heart of life in our country. Topics include why a woman’s marriage isn’t working, a man who has to have his dog put to sleep, and a woman visits a beach she hasn’t seen since she was a child. It is possible to view the interviews using QuickTime player, or read the interview transcripts. The current program is about a man suffering from aids looking for spiritual healing in Florida. It is possible for you to share your life experiences with the site as well.

The concept of reality entertainment is not new. Shows like “Survivor” and “Big Brother” have proven that. This site may not have the cliff hanging excitement of those shows, but the message is more reality based, and interesting to view. Enjoy your stop here today.
