Is Home Schooling Better?

As a parent, you might start questioning why there are parents who enroll their kids in home school rather than enroll them in public or private schools. For a start, you are not alone. In the past years, home schooling has become popular. While there are parents that are conservative and prefer their kids to be molded in school, there are also those who have considered that an option. Is home schooling really better than the school setup?

For those that are not familiar with home schooling, it is not actually a new process. Back in the wagon days and Wild West time, home schooling was actually the preferred method of teaching the kids because there are no schools yet at that time and teaching was still not a profession. Later on, as more and more people flock to the trade centers to settle down, that was the time that education was formally institutionalized.

Home schooling is not a perfect system because just like any method of teaching, it has its own pros and cons. Those who are in favor of home schooling argue that their kids get the attention that they need compared to the school where the teacher has to attend to all his/her students. On top of that, lessons in schools are canned to cater the general need while the home schooling system will assess first the child, get his/her strengths and design a lesson specific to the child.

The list goes on and for the sake of discussion; you can’t really say that home schooling can totally replace the school setup in the near future.
