Joan Lunden Speaks about Lowering Prescription Costs for Seniors
Over 31 million Americans are enrolled in Medicare Part D but half of those enrollees are unaware of the savings they could be benefiting from if they understood their medical plans better.
Award-winning television journalist Joan Lunden spoke to Family First today about a recent survey conducted by Walgreens that showed these findings, among others (see info graphic at the end).
With so many Americans either benefiting from Medicare Part D or taking care of parents (like Lunden is) who are on Medicare Part D, she offers 3 steps for people to help understand the maximum savings they can:
1) Find out what your plan is
2) Go into the pharmacy of your choice and ask for a plan review
3) Find your preferred network in the plan so you can get the best price
