Math.com
Here it is, almost time for Christmas vacation. It is time to start looking for the end of the school year for a few weeks, which means it is time to get ready for some tests. If your children are looking for help on subjects, the Internet is a wonderful source of resources. Today’s Family Site looks at one such site, which focuses on mathematics.
Called Math.com, this site specializes in helping students with the ins and outs of this complicated subject. For students looking for help on trapezoids or pentagons, algebra or geometry, then this site is for them. But there is also help for parents and teachers as well, so they may be able to offer assistance. There are also fun sections as well, such as the wonders of math (exploring fractals) and games and puzzles to play with and use that new found knowledge.
This is a wonderful site to bookmark and return to. Who knows when your child will need your help, or you may need his. This site shows again how the Internet is changing the way we educate our children and ourselves.
Family Site of the Day is interested in sites that you, our valued readers, are interested in. If you have a favorite site, or one that has special meaning to you, and you would like to share with others, feel free to email me at [email protected] and we will look at using that site in future site of the day.
