On August 26, 2025, the Presidential Artificial Intelligence (AI) Challenge was formally launched—a national initiative that encourages educators and students in grades K–12 to explore the potential applications of AI in solving real-world problems.
The Presidential AI Challenge: What Is It?
The Challenge is designed to inspire young people across the United States to think creatively, responsibly, and critically about artificial intelligence.
Students from kindergarten through 12th grade can participate individually or in teams.
Teachers or mentors will guide participants as they create AI-powered solutions for both local and global challenges.
Educators can also join by designing their own AI-powered classroom tools and teaching strategies.
