Move Forward

With all the rhetoric about Saddam Hussein and how he is trying to peacefully end the problems he is having with the United Nations, one forgets how his past deeds are what has gotten him in the situation he is in. The media would have you believe the he is nothing more than a victim, but the truth is the real victims are the people of Iraq.

Today’s FamSite is one the helps put in perspective that we are not trying to over throw a government, but we are wanting to free a nation whose leader has starved them, used poison gas on them, and has opressed them to where they have very few of the freedoms that we take for granted. Does this mean that we want to impose our values on them? No, it means that we want to give them the right to determine how their country is governed, and have a chance to grow and prosper with the rest of the world.

Very soon, the young men and women in uniform who defend this nation will likely face the greatest test of the new century. Once again, the United States is prepared to stand firm and lead the free world to a brighter day. Americans everywhere are rallying behind the President and our troops. Everywhere, that is, except right here in our own backyard!
