Northwest Arkansas Information

We recently featured a site that used the Internet to spread local information outside of their geographic location. I called it acting locally, thinking globaly, and used it to show how much the Internet has changed our thinking and how we present ourselves. Today we look at another site that uses the same concept to present itself to the world, and does so in a quite professional manner.

The site is called Northwest Arkansas Information, and the opening line invites in to look at one of the friendliest, most prosperous, and most inviting spots on earth. What this geographic section of the United States offers is the perfect combination of small-town living and big city convenience. They have grown big enough that while they still have an amazing variety of businesses here to serve every need, they are still small enough to not forget everyday, down-home politeness. Theywill hold the door open for you, nod and smile even if you’re a stranger, and wave when you drive by, even if they have never seen you before. They have had people move here from all over, both from within and without the United States, yet there is still that small-town friendliness.
What does NW Arkansas (or NW Ark, or NWA) have to offer? There is a booming economy (it is the home to WalMart), inexpensive real estate, sports (such as the Arkansas Razorbacks), not to mention fishing, hunting, boating, camping, golf, with a wide variety of hotels and motels. There is a wide variety of cultural activities, and American history around just about every corner.
