Other Fun Art Activities for Kids

There are many art activities that your kids can do. Here are some examples of art activities that are easy to do yet bring out the artist in them.

Flower printing

This is a good activity during the fall season because you can see a lot of leaves and flowers falling to the ground. In this activity, you need a lot of flowers and watercolor paint and of course the paper which will serve as canvass for this activity. The procedure is rather simple. They take a flower and dip it into watercolor paint and try to print it on the paper. They can do the same step over and over again. They can use other flowers in different colors and print it again to create beautiful artworks.

Fruit printing

This is a variation of flower printing but only this time; fruits are used instead of flowers. To create different patterns you can cut a fruit into half or into quarters. You then dip the fruits in watercolor paint and paste a pattern in the paper. Different shapes can be dipped into different colors. Some of the fruits commonly used in this activity include pears, apples, tomatoes or any other fruit that won’t be squished when you apply pressure on the watercolor paper.

These are only some of the activities that the kids can do at school or even at home. Expect the kids to get dirty so make sure they wore their working clothes when they participate in these activities.
