Portraits of the President

Over the past couple of years, Family Site of the Day visited sites that were dedicated to the Presidents of the United States. It took a while to complete, but by visiting those sites we learned more about our leaders. Today’s FamSite looks at those same men, but in a slightly different way.

The site is called Portraits of the President. It is the National Portrait Gallery site of the paintings of the President of the United States. Over the years they have amassed a collection of portraits of all the men who have sereved in that office. Here you can view a portrait of each President, along with a brief biography and story around the portrait. There are also several downloadable educational essays for teachers to use with this site.
