One activity that I enjoyed in summers when I was growing up was putting together model kits. I put together cars, planes, ships, and even movie monsters. It was fun, and it was a great way to spend a hot summer afternoon, or cool summer evening. Today’s FamSite is one that can help you or your young ones have the same experience.

  3. As a boy I made what I believed to be a Revell kit of the USS Charles F Adams Destroyer. Australian purchased 4 of these ships and I was involved with HMAS Hobart in the Vietnam war. Now retired I am starting to building revelle kit again and would like to know was the Charles F Adams I built in 1964 infact a Revell kit or not.
    If so, would love to get my hands on one built or kit.

  8. When visiting the Amazing Australia in the mid 1980’s I saw some of my shipmates purchase models of the USS Perth… For years I regreted not getting one (or two). Now I’ve spent A LOT of time searching online for any lead on a Charles F Adams class model I could get and build.
    Any advise?

  11. i would appriciate very much if you could tell me where to get an instruction manual for my visible rotary engine revell H913, seem to have lost it im very anxious to build it, it been with me since i bought it 20 years ago. thanks, rene tantoco

  12. I recently acquired an old model kit of
    the #43 Pontiac Grand Prix that Richard Petty
    drove to the win in the 1984 Firecracker 400.
    Problem is…the kit can still be built but the
    body of the car was crushed and broken beyond
    repair. The kit number is “2722-0100 #43 Pontiac
    Grand Prix”.
    The box is stamped 1985, so this is going to be a
    doozy to find. I would really like to build the car
    but I need the body.
    How much would it cost for just the body…if one
    can even be found?
