One of the great adventures in growing up with rock-n-roll is the impact it has had on our culture. Certain groups, such as the Grateful Dead, have devoted followers who not only listened to their music, but also lived it. Today’s Family First site is one that us older kids can read, and remember when.
Called Roadie.net, it is a site that is dedicated to the technical people who make the music happen. Whether it is a bar band or the biggest rock band in the world, they all need to have the technology to make their music heard. The term “roadie” is used to describe the person (or people) who make it happen. Here you can read their stories, look at their pictures, and dream their dreams. It is an interesting insight into a little seen side of the music business.
At one time or another, we all have probably wanted to travel as a member of the band. With this site, we can sort of do that. Enjoy this cyber “long strange trip”.
