Ron Enderland, Freelance Writer and Cartoonist

One of the goals of Family Site of the Day I have had is to promote not only family-safe sites, but sites that show family involvement. Each member having their own page, a cooperative family effort to put up a site, things like that. The site we are visiting today just happens to be one of those types of sites.

It is called Ron Enderland, Freelance Writer and Cartoonist. The home page has a nice family portrait of Ron and his wife (whose name escapes me because it isn’t on the page), and their children Kari and Neil, and is available in both standard and bells-and-whistles versions. Ron features several links to examples of his work, both as a writer and a cartoonist. His writing ranges from computer-related, web topics to human interest to humor. Kari and Neil have just put up their own web pages, and here again is a chance to see the youth of America on the web with sites designed and maintained by them. The site is fresh and open, and you really get to know the type of person Ron is just reading his works. Somewhere out there is a Pulitzer Prize or something with his name on it.

Some of you may also know Ron from WorldVillage. That is where I met him. For the past year or so, every review I have written has gone under his careful eye (or across his computer screen, I’m not sure which), and suffered the dreaded red pen. But 99% of the corrections were warranted and helpful, and I have learned a lot from him. So I can speak from first hand experience of his writing ability, and his personality. So if there is a Pulitzer or Oscar or something out there with my name on it, he will deserve part of the credit as well. So enjoy his site, enjoy his writing, and if you drop him and email, tell him Rich sent you.
