For the fifth year, stars and politicians as well as tons of volunteers are trying to raise $250,000 to send thousands of care packages for the troops in Afghanistan.
The Troopathon runs right now until 9:00 Pacific from the U.S. Army Depot in Sacramento, California. The show is hosted by radio host Melanie Morgan, with Gold Star mom Debbie Lee, founder of America’s Mighty Warriors (www.americasmightywarriors.org), Big Journalism’s Dana Loesch and former U.S. Congressman JD Hayworth.
Other guests include former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, author and host Laura Ingraham, John Bolton, Frank Gaffney, Mark Levin, Coach K from Duke, Coach Tom Osborne, among many, many more.
Packages include snacks like oreos, beef jerky, coffee and jelly bellys as well as personal items like wet wipes (SO good for hot, dusty Afghanistan), lip balm and deodorant.
