Silly Putty U

Some of the toys of our youth are still around. Some have been around so long that they are taken for granted since they have become icons of our childhood. Today’s FamSite visits a website that celebrates just such a toy, one that we have all had contact with at some point in our childhood.

The site is called Silly Putty U, and is about the grand old toy called (what else?) Silly Putty. Here you can find out about a toy that was created in 1943, and first released to kids in 1950. There are stories about the different types of putty that have been around, from the pink to gold to the ever-popular glow-in-the-dark variety. There are different games to play with it, and even a science section where you can work towards a Master of Silly Putty degree.

This is a fun site for young ones who have played with Silly Putty. For those that haven’t, it will give them something to look forward to when they finally get their hands on that famous egg-shaped container.
