Educational sites are becoming a very popular item on the Internet, I have found out. It seems that anyone who can write .html code has some sort of listing for educational resources on it. But not all of them measure up to the site we will visit today.

The name of today’s site, Smart Kid, tells the purpose of the site right away: it is education. There are a lot of links to computer software here, in the meat-and-potatoes subjects that are necessary for students to learn. These are in the areas of math, science, reading, history, and languages, with sections for references and creativity. Each product has a link to a review of it, so you may see if it is right for you. There is an online tour of art museums, an interview with parenting expert Judy Ford, and the art of teaching your child fair play in sports in the current issue. One nice touch I really like is the Poem of the Day. It is important that students not only learn the technical side of education, but the art side as well.

There is alot to see and do at this site. The material is fresh and not dated, nor is it a collection of links to other vendors. It has a lot of original areas, and is worth spending some time at.
