Take Wonderful Sports Photos of Your Kids
We always love to take photos of our children, especially when they get involved in extracurricular activities they love doing, such as sports, both doing their practice and in the heat of the game. But most often than not, we get blurry images chasing their motion in the field, and this can be very frustrating.
Here are some great tips to take good pictures of your kids in motion, playing sports or other activities.
Steps
First Step – Get To Know Other Parents and The Coaches
Reduce the level of uncomfortable moments by getting to know other parents in the field/gym with you and the coaches. People may get too protective with their kids and angry if they think some stranger is taking picture of their kids. Introduce yourself and tell them your son/daughter is playing as well.
Second Step – Check Your Camera, Set It In Sports Mode
Most digital cameras have a feature called ‘Sports Mode’ or the likes (Kids and Pets for some cameras). This kind of feature will set your aperture and shutter speed right to take photos of objects in motion, improving their quality.
Third Step – Wait Until The Kids Are Playing
Wait until the game starts, and make your kids forget that you’re taking pictures, or they will feel very uncomfortable in your presence (holding a camera and taking photos of their every movement).
Fourth Step – Wait For Stupendous Moments
Ready your camera for exciting moments, such as touchdown, jump shots, goals, radical cheers, or even bloopers.
Fifth Step – If Take Sequence Shots
If your digital camera can take sequence shots (the ability to take more than one photo at a time), then use that feature once in a while. You will be more likely to catch great images with that kind of feature.
Sixth Step- – Capture Emotions
Don’t just take picture of the action, take photos of the faces and emotions of your kids and other kids playing in the field as well. This will make the album more interesting.
