Teacher’s Guide

Educating students can be very challenging for a teacher. Some say the actual classroom work is the most difficult, keeping a number of students focused on the subject matter, regardless of the time of year, or the weather outside. Today’s site gives some insight on a way to not only entertain students, but to help them learn at the same time.

It is called Teacher’s Guide. Here the teaching tool used is very visual. In fact, it is a cartoon, or to be exact, several topical cartoons from some of the best known editorial cartoonists around the country. An editorial cartoon is designed to get a point across, in a sometimes sarcastic way, sometimes in a serious way, but a lot of times it is tongue-in-cheek type of humor. This site utilizes this medium to help teachers get certain points across in a wide variety of classes, such as Social Sciences, English, Journalism, and, of course, Art. The cartoons have a very focused message, and that usually is easy for students understand.
