The events of yesterday are truly an event that will live with us all for the rest of our lives. It is, to quote a famous author, “…the times that try men’s souls”. In such sad and trying times, organizations that we take for granted rise to the occasion, and help to over come these disasters. Over the next few days, the WorldVillage Family Site of the Day will feature those groups.
Today we look at the American Red Cross. Wherever disaster strikes, whether it is a hurricane, a tornado, blizzard, flood or fire, they are there providing food, clothing and shelter. What we can all do now is to follow their directions and support them in their efforts. Replenishing the blood supply is critical, and we can all help by giving blood today.
