The Beatles Internet Album

Just when you thought you had heard everything about the Beatles (you remember them, a British group that had a few hit records in the 1960’s), here is something, well, different.

In the late 1960’s, there was rumor that Paul McCartney had died, and was replaced by an imposter. There were supposedly all sorts of clues that the remaining three had placed in their songs telling the world that Paul was dead. On todays site, The Beatles Internet Album, it is possible to not only relive the stories surrounding this rumor, but to hear the actual sound clips via Real Audio. For those of us that lived through this time, it is fascinating to hear. Technology at that time did not allow for wide spread dissemination of that sort of thing. There is also on this site other juicy Beatles gossip and rumors. Such as Julian Lennon replacing his dad to play with the surviving trio, or how Linda McCartney is not related to the Kodak Eastmans. At each of these stories, you not only read the story, but you hear the person in question denying it.

This is a different sort of Beatles site. It has enough off the wall information to visit at least once, and for Beatle fanatics, it will be a sure-fire site to bookmark. So let them take you down to Strawberry Fields, where nothing is real, and enjoy the trip.
