The Grammar Lady

Learning the correct way to speak and write is an on going challenge for both young and old. Readers of this site can attest to that fact. My writing style has matured over the past year; at least I hope it has. But correct usage of grammar is extremely important to achieving communication with the world around you.

Today’s stop on the Family Site cyber-tour is one that can help with language and grammar skills. It is called The Grammar Lady. It is a resource for anyone who needs help with writing skills. It features a Grammar Hotline (800-279-9708, Mon.-Fri. 9:00AM – 5:00PM Eastern Daylight Time) where one can call and get help with common grammatical questions. But the Grammar Lady also information on choosing a dictionary (there are a lot of different types available), a bookstore, spelling rules, and an interesting area on Homophones (guess what that is?).

Literacy is very important to an individual. To function in today’s world, one must be able to communicate clearly. This site goes a long way in not only helping to promote that concept, but also to help implement it. Visit it, as you won’t be disappointed.

(By the way, homophones are words that look and sound alike, and therefore often get confused).
