The Journeys of Paul

My children are amazed to discover that, as a child, I didn’t own an X-Box or PS2 or even a comptuer. (They were equally astounded when they found out that our first television was black-and-white, but that’s another story). The type of games we played used cardboard surfaces and plastic playing pieces. Those types of games are not common anymore, but the ones that are there are fun to play.

Today we look at one that is based on the live of the apostle Paul. The name of the game is called The Journeys of Paul, a turn-based historical strategy game. The game begins immediatley after Paul completed his famous four journeys during which he spread the Gospel and established the first
churches in the Roman Empire. Each player in the game is a missionary
who, like Paul, travels through the Roman Empire attempting to start
churches in serveral key cities. The game simulates the difficulties and
challenges comfronted by Paul and his companions. There are no trivia questions, and no knowledge of the Bible is required (although it could be very helpful).
