The Oak Ridge Boys
One of the best groups, bar none, in the field of country and western music is the Oak Ridge Boys. The sound they make when they sing is unmistakable, and as pure as a mountain stream in the spring thaw.
Family Site of the Day visits their site, and it is very impressive. The boys have created a site that takes advantage of the latest in web technology to give a tour of who and what they are. Individual biographies, news, concert and personal appearances, discography, fan club, online store, even a chat room, you name it, they have it (and it they don’t, I’m sure it is in beta testing somewhere). This is truly a unique site.

I recently saw Joe Bonsal on TV talking aobut the song her wrote for his parents. I just wanted to hug him and say as a WW2 bride and married to a vet for 53 years it made me cry. I also know how thrilled his beloved parents to have such a tribute made to them. My vet husband left part of his right leg in France but because I was so thrilled at having him back I didn’t care. I am sure Joe, your Mom was so in love with your Dad that taking care of him after his stroke, to her, was something she would never have thought of not doing. We were a special generation. Most of us even blessed this land with remarkable children such as yoruself. May you continue to have the success so rightly due to you and the rest of the Oak Ridge Boys. God Bless
