The WAV Place

One of the features that I enjoy about computers is the fun you can have with them. One way we do that at work is to come up with unique and unusual sounds that can be played on them. I don’t just mean dings and dongs, but lines from movies, sounds of machinery, you get the idea.

Today’s Famsite provided us with a ton of new sounds. It is called The WAV Place, and is the best collection of files for use on a computer that I have seen, bar none. Here you can get the usual 2001: A Space Odyssey files of Hal, but you can also get explosions, music, famous quotes, and more. Need a jet aircraft sound? It’s here, along with a submarine diving, and a B-17 flyby. I am almost tempted to say if it can’t be found here, it hasn’t been said yet.

So hop on by and check this site out. It has something for just about everyone, including the die-hard “All in the Family” fans. There is a special area just for Archie Bunker. See ya there, meatheads.
